Kadalag-an Festival

“Kadalag-an” is a word adopted by Victorias for its charter celebration. It means “Victory” and it symbolizes the triumph of a municipality turned into a city, against the adversities and struggle for peace, progress and attainment of its vision. Kadalag-an festival is being held to commemorate the charter anniversary of the city. It is a colorful celebration of Victoriahanons culture and traditions that has transcended several generations, held every 21st day of March since 1999. The celebration is marked by street dancing, merry making, and the search for Kadalag-an Queen beauty pageant.

Malihaw Festival

Celebrated every 26th of April, Malihaw festival is a celebration in honor of the lady, Nuestra Senora de las Victorias. One of the highlights of this festival is the the re-enactment of the apparition of the Nuestra Senora de las Victorias that repulsed the marauders and saved the settlers. This is followed by a colourful fluvial parade of images of the Patroness along the shoreline of the city which has been participated by devotees.

Kalamayan Festival

Kalamayan festival is a celebration of the bountiful years that the sugar industry has contributed to the progress of Victorias City. The festival is held every December, which is the season of hope, love and merry-making. Highlights of the festival are the Christmas lights switch-on ceremony, Karo Float competition, sugarcane worker’s day, Parol making competition and drumbeating competition to name a few.
