First Town Hall Meeting of Mayor Javier Miguel L. Benitez with the City’s transport groups to address some of the most pressing problems on traffic, fuel increase, transportation status, franchise, and registration.

Mayor Benitez consulted the City’s tricycle operators and drivers association members and other stakeholders present on the lifting of the odd-even scheme for tricycles with the condition that the franchise papers of the members are complete, the putting up of a common terminal for the City TODAs, and the establishment of a task force for traffic and transportation law violators, fare hike, and road improvements, among others.

The administration, together with the community, is committed to doing everything within the bounds of their authority to come up with the best solutions and enforce laws concerning our transport sector for the benefit of all Victoriahanons.

Members of the panel during the open forum were Mayor Javier Miguel Lopez-Benitez with Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug III; Liga ng mga Barangay President-Negros Occidental Chapter Board Member Juvy Pepello; Liga ng mga Barangay Representative City Councilor Richard Julius Sablan who is also the Committee Chairman on Barangay Affairs, Committee Chairman on Transportation and Traffic Management, and Committee Chairman on Peace and Order and Public Safety; City Administrator Atty. Lindolf De Castro; Victorias PNP OIC- Chief of Police PLTCOL Joseph Fajardo Jr; Victorias City Chief of the Traffic Division PSSg Alfredo Javellana; Head of the Business Permits and Licensing Office and Victorias Franchising Regulatory Board Head of Executive Committee Christian Debuque; and Sangguniang Panlungsod Secretary Julien Olis.

Councilors Dino Acuña and Audie Malaga with Victorias City Information Office Head Joy Famini also joined the town hall meeting.
