On the 10th flag-raising ceremony, the Victorias City Government joined the simultaneous celebration of the 122nd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary themed “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes.”

City Mayor Javier Miguel L. Benitez announced the promotion of Bureau of Fire Protection casual employees Jose A. Suriaga Jr. and Joseph Aldrin V. Ledesma who served the city government for 34 and 33 years, respectively.

Mayor Benitez revealed the contracts of the 10 personnel who were found positive during the surprise drug test last week will not be renewed, however, the city government is willing to provide support and assistance if they wish to undergo detoxification and rehabilitation.

Moreover, on the updates of the past week’s events, the Victorias City Health Office was given recognition for the awards they bagged during the Family Planning Month Culminating Activity of the Province of Negros Occidental and for securing diagnostic licenses last September 2.

In addition, the road leveling and repair of Osmeña Avenue, and the giving of educational, medical, and burial assistance to more than 500 hundred Victoriahanon beneficiaries from Third District Representative Hon. Jose Francisco Benitez through the City Mayor’s Office were also mentioned.
