BRIEF HISTORY OF BARANGAY
“Millsite” is the word commonly used to call our barangay earlier for the reason that the largest integrated raw and refined sugar factory in the whole Asia, Victorias Milling Company, Inc. is situated in this barangay. The early settlers of the barangay are not native to this place. They came from the other towns and provinces and even from other regions to seek employment at VMC. That is why people at our barangay speak different languages. Once they are accepted as workers, that is the time they bring their families to our barangay. Other who are single look for women or men to become their husband or wife and settle down as a family. All heads of the family and some of their siblings are permanently employed by VMC and are assigned houses complete with electricity and water up to their retirement.
