The City Veterinary Office (CVO) successfully conducted the "Adlaw Sang Kasapatan" (ASK) in Gawahon Proper and Sitio Cinco, Barangay XI, Victorias City last August 22.

The initiative, spearheaded by OIC of the City Veterinary Office Dr. Ma. Anicka Villegas, in collaboration with Livestock Development Section Chief Randy Pedroso, and other dedicated CVO personnel, aimed to provide essential veterinary services to carabao raisers and low-income livestock producers in the city.

The CVO offered free veterinary care, including deworming, prescription drugs, and supplements.

A total of 35 clients benefited from these services, with 33 carabaos and 27 goats receiving veterinary attention.

To ensure proper documentation and ownership rights for the livestock, the CVO issued approximately 28 Certificates of Ownership of Large Cattle to participants.

The veterinary services provided during the event included deworming for 19 animals, administration of vitamins to 33 animals, and pregnancy diagnosis for two carabaos.

The ASK highlights Victorias City's dedication to animal welfare and agricultural development. *
