Victorias City, through the City Veterinary Office under the leadership of OIC-City Veterinarian Dr. Ma. Anicka Villegas, highlighted responsible pet ownership and animal welfare as it wrapped up the Rabies Awareness Month 2025 celebration with the Pawshion Show at City Mall - Victorias on March 29.

The event showcased the city's growing pet-loving community while promoting responsible pet ownership and strengthening the bond between pet owners and their furry companions.

A total of 18 pets and their owners participated in the fantasy-themed competition, displaying creativity and dedication to animal care.

Bokbok secured the 1st place title, followed by Snippy in 2nd place and Yuri in 3rd place, with each winner receiving cash prizes, certificates, a sack of dog food, and a 20% grooming voucher.

Bokbok also won the Best Outfit and Darling of the Crowd awards, while Snippy was recognized as the Most Disciplined.

Chantal Hilado received the Most Creative Handler award, while Zian and Cris Guniabo were awarded with the Best Handler-Dog Bond award.

Aiko, a Micro Pinscher, was awarded Smallest Dog, and Bokbok, a Golden Retriever, was named Largest Dog.

Winners of minor and special awards received a 5kg bag of dog food and a 10% grooming voucher.

Judges for the event included Sidlak Animal Welfare Group representative and Lin-ay sang Negros 2024 Kyla Rose Romarate, Rouel Sorbito, and Ma. Eunice Bacucang.

The top three winners of the Rabies Awareness Month Poster Making Contest held on March 28 were also recognized during the event.

In recognition of their dedicated service to the city, ProVets retirees Renato Demingoy and Merlita Casañares were awarded Certificates of Service for their 31 and 30 years of service, respectively.
