Employees of the City Government of Victorias were given a comprehensive orientation on their healthcare insurance and HMO benefits during a session held at the Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Arts and Cultural Center, May 28.

The orientation aimed to enhance the understanding of employees regarding their medical coverage, entitlements, and procedures for availing of healthcare services.

Liaison Officer for Negros Occidental Garry Vergara facilitated the orientation and provided clear explanations on the insurance provider’s offerings and policies.

Attendees were walked through the scope of their healthcare coverage, including inpatient and outpatient services, emergency care, dental care, and others.

The session also tackled the proper steps in filing claims, accessing accredited hospitals and clinics, and maximizing the use of their benefits.

An open forum followed, where employees actively participated in an exchange of questions, raising concerns and clarifying procedures directly with the liaison officer.

Present during the orientation on behalf of Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez was City Culture and Ethics Officer and Chief-of-Staff to the City Mayor Dr. Joselito Diaz, along with City Human Resource Officer Ana Liza Fuentes.

Through this initiative, the City Government reaffirmed its commitment to the well-being of its workforce by ensuring access to reliable healthcare services. *
