VICTORIAS CITY GETS 10 LAPTOPS FROM GCASH, TURNS OVER 3 EXCAVATORS FOR DISASTER RESPONSE

A turnover ceremony was held for the donation of ten laptops from GCash to the City Treasurer’s Office and three excavators for the City Engineer’s Office, at the City Public Plaza on June 16.


The laptops were awarded following Victorias City’s recognition as a DigiCities LGU Awardee during the GCash Digital Excellence Awards in December 2024.


The awarding of the laptops was facilitated by GCash Account Manager Bebs Novicio, who represented the company during the ceremony.


City Treasurer Maria Rosielyn Gustilo received the equipment, which will help improve digital operations and financial services.


Meanwhile, three excavators were turned over to support the city’s flood control efforts through regular dredging and desilting of rivers, canals, and drainage systems.


These were received by City Engineer Mary Jean Majaducon and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rodolfo Retirado III.


The blessing of the excavators followed, led by Fr. Gerald Libo-on.


In attendance were Mayor and Congressman-elect Javier Miguel Benitez, Vice Mayor and Mayor-elect Abelardo Bantug III, and City Councilor and Vice Mayor-elect Derek Palanca.


Also present were City Councilors Hermie Millan, Dexter Senido, Dino Acuña, Eric Alcobilla, and Audie Malaga, along with City Administrator Atty. Lindolf De Castro, department heads, and city employees. *
