VICTORIAS CITY BECOMES FIRST LGU TO SUBSIDIZE SSS CONTRIBUTIONS OF BHWS, BNS
Victorias City has made history as the first local government unit (LGU) in the country and in the newly created Negros Island Region to fully subsidize the Social Security System (SSS) contributions of its Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs), during a ceremonial signing held at the Victorias City Command and Evacuation Center on May 2.

Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez led the groundbreaking ceremonies for four new developments in Victorias City, including a soon-to-rise tourist attraction at Barangay Gawahon and several key projects under the Sidlak Victorias Global City (SVGC) initiative: the Sidlak Land Development, the Sidlak Residential Complex, and the Victorias City New Government Center, held on April 25.
